Ekornes has an ambitious global growth strategy and is about to start a major transformation project aimed at building a more professional and efficient company. As a crucial part of this, we are now seeking a strategic and analytical Finance Business Partner for one of our four commercial regions.
 
This role will be central to strategic decision-making processes and a driver in performance improvement. The position reports to the VP Business Controlling and will have a primary responsibility to support decision-making for the SVP Commercial Nordic, as well as closely collaborating with country managers, Key Account Managers, and other stakeholders.
 
 
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
 
  • Serve as the link between the finance/accounting department and commercial units, providing financial insight and support to promote growth and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze sales results, KPIs, and profitability at market, product, and customer levels to evaluate achieved results/performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Responsible for strategic pricing, price lists, marketing campaigns, and discount structures in the Nordic region.
  • Proactive driver for improvement and development initiatives in the region, and generally within the Controller function.
  • Develop financial forecasts and budgets for the region.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on financial and commercial results for the regional leadership team and group management.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and presentations as needed.
 
Education and Experience:
 
  • Higher education in accounting/economics or finance.
  • Experience in a similar role within areas like business controlling, finance, or consulting.
  • Experience from the retail or manufacturing industry is beneficial, preferably within an international corporation.
  • Good Excel skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex issues and analyses in a simple and structured way.
  • An interest in digital solutions, improvement work, and technology is a plus – especially proficiency in tools such as Power BI, SAP ERP, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, both verbal and written.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills that support data-driven decision-making, combined with business acumen and the ability to understand the value chain and challenges of Ekornes. You have a commercial mindset and work in a structured and targeted manner to identify drivers and opportunities for performance improvement and value creation.
 
You communicate well with all types of people and are capable of building strong relationships, influencing decisions, and triggering engagement across cultures. Experience with international work and managing cross-disciplinary teams is an advantage.
 
The position is located in Sykkylven or Oslo.
